Frequently asked questions about Budgets
Can I bring my price catalogue from Excel?
Yes. CERP imports the full catalogue (materials, labour, machinery and items with their breakdown) from a four-sheet Excel template. And in Projects, with CERP AI, you can upload a project's Excel so it creates the project, its tasks and its materials.
What is the item bank?
A catalogue of Spanish construction line items with reference prices, built into the budget editor: search the item, import it and adjust quantities and prices.
What happens to the budget once the client approves it?
When it becomes a project, the agreed price is locked. Later changes are handled with change orders, which start from the approved budget and keep a record of the reason.
Can I keep several versions of the same budget?
Yes. Create a new version to test an alternative without losing the previous one, compare the changes and export each version separately.
